- Returns are not always possible, but if your puppy qualifies, you may receive a refund up to the original purchase price.
- If you decide to rehome your puppy through Pupworld, no refund will be issued.
- Before requesting a return, please consider filing a claim with Pupworld first—we may be able to help with your issue.
? Health Concerns
- If you’re worried about your puppy’s health, contact us immediately by filing a claim.
- We take health concerns seriously and want to make sure your puppy is cared for.
? Rehoming Policy
- If you can no longer care for your puppy, the breeder has first right of refusal.
- You are responsible for any return shipping costs.
? If You Have Trupanion Pet Insurance
Within the First 72 Hours:
- If your puppy is diagnosed with a life-threatening illness or contagious disease within 72 hours of arrival, you may be:
- Reimbursed for veterinary costs (up to the original purchase price), after insurance coverage is applied.
- Eligible for a full refund if you choose to return the puppy.
- Parasites (like those found in a fecal float exam) are not covered by refund but may be eligible for medication cost reimbursement.
- You must provide vet documentation showing the illness occurred within the first 72 hours to receive a refund.

Prescription Reimbursement Program
The Prescription Reimbursement Program is offered exclusively by Pupworld as an added benefit. The goal of the program is to ensure the treatment plan prescribed by your Veterinarian eradicates your puppy’s condition in the quickest most effective manner.
In order to receive reimbursement, your Veterinarian must prescribe one of the below medications for the covered ailment(s) AND be the first choice prescribed by your Veterinarian Hospital AND not covered by Pet Insurance. This means if your Veterinarian prescribed anything other than the required first choice medication(s) listed below then reimbursement will not be provided. The Prescription Reimbursement Program offers coverage for up to one (1) incident per covered ailment per puppy. Pupworld will cover the medication expenses for the common puppy ailments listed below in puppies who experience stress from leaving their mother. Combination treatments are required as efficacy rates for one standalone Rx often result in prolonged treatment and/or recurring infection. Reimbursement will be provided up to the amount stated per ailment listed below. The reimbursement rates listed below are common prices pharmacies charge.
Giardia – Fenbendazole and Metronidazole together for 5 days, being sure to bathe the puppy often in warm soapy water using dawn dish soap to remove cysts and prevent further reinfection. No greater than $30.
Coccidia – Sulfadiazine/Trimethoprim (Tribrissen) and Metronidazole together for 5 days, being sure to bathe the puppy often in warm soapy water using dawn dish soap to remove cysts and prevent further reinfection. No greater than $30.
Cough – Up to 10 days Azithromycin, 10 days Baytril. No greater than $30.
Ear Infection – Up to 7 days of Posatex Otic Suspension. No greater than $35. Excluding breeds susceptible to ear infections.
What is NOT covered by our Prescription Reimbursement program
Pet Insurance deductible and uncovered percentages.
Costs of raising and owning a puppy including but not limited to regular veterinary care, flea control, heartworm medication, special diets, pet foods, vitamins, supplements, grooming, nail trims, shampoo and bathing (including medicated baths). Any fees related to the professional opinion of a veterinarian including but not limited to office visit fee, examination, medical progress exam, recheck, consultation, specialist consult, emergency exam, office call, etc unless required by state law.
Injury or illness due to any intentional, neglectful or preventable act including but not limited to injestion of foreign objects, cruciate ligament (CL, CCL, ACL) injuries, chipped teeth, car-related injuries, bug bites, etc.
Elective procedures, cosmetic procedures, preventive procedures including but not limited to tail docking, ear cropping, de-clawing, micro-chipping, dew claw removal, ear cleaning, teeth cleaning, etc.
Behavioral modification, training, therapy or medications for behavioral modification including but not limited to potty training, chewing, digging, etc.
General appearance, size, weight or other physical characteristics differing from breed standards or aesthetic preferences.
Illness, contagious or infectious disease to exclude Parvo that is diagnosed more than seven (7) days after your puppy’s arrival.
Hereditary or congenital disorders diagnosed after the puppy’s third birthday, or first birthday for Bulldog breeds.
Diseases which are not life threatening and do not adversely affect the health of the animal are not covered by this Health Guarantee. Such diseases are localized demodectic mange, grade 1-2 heart murmur, grade 1-2 luxating patellas (Since a luxating patella or collapsed trachea can be caused by injury, they are not covered if they are discovered after your initial veterinarians examination), cherry eye, localized mange, testicle problems (pre-departure vet check will ensure both testicles have descended). This Health Guarantee does not cover any of the following conditions in the Bulldog breeds that are considered normal: cherry eye, entropion, loose hips, demodectic mange (generalized and localized), skin allergies, luxating patellas, elongated soft palate, small trachea, stenotic nares, etc.
Diseases preventable by vaccines and prophylactic medications such as Heartworms.
Stress related illnesses such as, but not limited to, pneumonia, diarrhea and hypoglycemia may occur in the puppy from the stress of the move or flight to the buyers home and buyer is solely responsible for any vet bills incurred as a result.
Parvo. Buyer understands that the puppy may contract parvo from any and all public areas and if this puppy contracts parvo, the Liable Party is not responsible for any vet bills or death of puppy resulting from said disease if diagnosed after the first 72 hours upon arrival. SNAP tests to diagnose Parvo are inadmissible. An IDEXX Parvovirus 2 (CPV-2) RealPCRâ„¢ Test-Canine (2649) panel analyzed by an IDEXX laboratory is required.
Coccidia diagnosed from a SNAP test. SNAP tests to diagnose Coccidia are inadmissible. A RealPCRâ„¢ panel analyzed by an IDEXX laboratory is required.
Low Blood Sugar, Hypoglycemia and any and all relatable claims.
Hiatal, Perineal, Diaphragmatic and Inguinal Hernias. Umbilical Hernias identified after the initial veterinarian examination.
Pre-Existing Conditions. All pre-exisiting conditions disclosed prior to delivery, including relatable conditions and/or treatments. The degradation or worsening of such condition.
Breed Specific Health Ailments
Results of genetic testing.
Cancer of any type.
Coronavirus.
X-Rays.
Malocclusions-(crooked teeth placement) As your puppy grows and develops the teeth are ever changing and it can be difficult to predict their final placement. Due to this we do not cover any costs associated with any dental or bite abnormalities or vet bills associated with your puppy’s teeth.
Breed Specific Health Ailments
Certain Breeds are susceptible or prone to adverse health effects ranging from epilepsy, seizures or even death due to the administration of certain vaccinations or the administration of multiple vaccinations at once or within a short period of time. In the unfortunate event it is found that your Veterinarian mismanaged breed specific vaccine protocols then this Health Guarantee will be considered null and void.
Certain Breeds are susceptible or prone to adverse health effects (“Ailments”) for which are not covered by this Health Guarantee. Breed Ailments include, but not limited to, certain diseases, syndromes, autoimmune disorders, epilepsy, eye problems, cataracts, ear infections, portosystemic shuntor defects, respiratory problems, elbow or hip dysplasia, joint problems, bloat, glaucoma, diabetes, collapsing trachea, breathing problems, skin or hair loss, little white shaker syndrome, heart disease, mitral valve disease, valvular disease, aortic stenosis or heart failure. Determination for specific breed Ailments shall be made by veterinary consensus, to include at Pupworld LLC’s sole discretion, the determination of Doctors of Veterinary Medicine or published editorials on breed standards.
No Heartgard: White feet, don’t treat! Interceptor is the only safe heartworm prevention medication for Collies, Collie-mixes, Shelties and Sheltie-mixes. This is because Interceptor does not contain the drug Ivermectin, which is known to have deadly effects in these and other breeds.
